FLOORING OPTIONS YOU NEED FOR YOUR HOME

Flooring getting installed in a home.

Sometimes you look down in your home and find that your floors are scratched, worn, and out of date. That means it's time to get new floors.

Some research reveals that there are too many floor options to count, and the decision is more stressful than the remodelling process itself. Don't worry, we hear you. Fortunately, we're here to help.

We're going to take a look at the different options you have for flooring. We hope that a little exploration of flooring options will make the process a lot easier for you.

Options for New Flooring

The first thing we have to narrow down is whether you want hardwood flooring or a laminate alternative. There's also the chance that you might want some vinyl planks if your budget doesn't allow for hardwood.

Let's take a look at each of these options in detail.

Hardwood Flooring

There's nothing that quite compares to a warm, hardwood floor. When treated well, hardwood can last for decades in your home.

It adds a touch of elegance, and there are several solid hardwood options available to you. One nice touch of hardwood floors is that every floor is unique. There's no repetition, no patterns, just the designs left by nature.

Laminate Floors

Laminate floors are an excellent option for people looking for a particular style of stone or wood floor without quite the budget to justify the costs.

It's a synthetic option that's extremely resilient and adjustable. Your laminate floors can simulate almost any form of hardwood or stone without the excessive weight and price of actually installing those items.

Not to mention, laminate is easy to clean and isn't easily stained or damaged by normal wear and tear or spills.

Vinyl Planks

Vinyl planks turn out to be more cost-effective than laminate, with a lot of the same benefits. Vinyl is a good option for areas that experience a lot of wear and tear because it's easy to clean and cheap to replace should any damages occur.

You're also given a wide variety of options to choose from, just like you have with laminate.

Other Considerations

Keep in mind that the type of room you're getting new floors for should affect your decision on the product you go with. Additionally, your decorations and designs can be factored in while you're choosing.

Bathrooms and kitchens might be good spaces for linoleum or travertine products because they're prone to moisture and spills. A living room is a great place to consider hardwood options because of the aesthetic impact hardwood flooring has.

Also, consider how often you'll use the room, whether you'll need to clean up often, and your budget.
